MathBank
MathBank is a resource bank of teaching material for lecturers and students, funded through a National Teaching Fellowship 2000 award.
Using industry standard Unix, Linux and Apache web server platforms, together with in-house developed CGI C software, GeoData have developed a complex custom application for storing teaching and learning resources, incorporating a hierarchical storage and metadata framework and a diverse range of digital document types.
MathBank is widely used by students and lecturers in Mathematics, both at Southampton and other educational institutions, and currently manages around 5000 documents.
