The FAO natural Resource land and water division developed a strategic approach to the relationship between access to land, land management and water resources in the light of the distribution of poverty and food insecurity. The approach defined some of the key project and funding decisions that the FAO would undertake in the following 5 years. The GeoData Institute contributed a specific chapter looking at the statistical relationship between the distribution of water, available land, land management and the distribution of stunting in children under 5 years old.
